CONSTANT is partnering with a leading Student Accommodation provider to deliver a modern approach to safety, one that’s centred on student welfare, wellbeing, and community.

You’ll use your unique experience and skills in safety, welfare and security, but you’ll also build genuine relationships and make a difference in the lives of students from around the world, integrating yourself to be part of a close-knit community.

Full time hours available, predominantly evenings and nights, with a variety of locations available.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building rapport with students through positive, friendly engagement

• Providing after-hours support and responding to wellbeing concerns

• Conducting presence-based walkthroughs (not enforcement or surveillance)

• Assisting with student lockouts, enquiries, or amenity access

• Coordinating with on-call emergency or security services where needed

• Logging incidents and updates in reporting systems

• Supporting the delivery of engagement and community-building initiatives

• Liaising with university staff and residential life teams

• Light administrative and concierge-style responsibilities

Who We’re Looking For

We’re interested in two types of people:

• Experienced Security Officers ready to move into a softer, more community-focused environment.

• People-focused professionals (allied health, education, community services, multicultural support, student support, youth services, customer service, hospitality) who are willing to obtain a QLD Security Licence — we can guide you through it.

• Previous experience in a role that requires exceptional customer service

• Previous experience completing written reports

• Proficient with IT

What You’ll Need (or Be Willing to Obtain)

• QLD Security Licence (We can assist suitable candidates with licence pathways and training.)

• First Aid & CPR Certificate

• Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)

• Working with Children Check (Blue Card)

• Willingness to attend Trauma Informed Care and Mental Health First Aid Training

Casual Pay Rates

Monday to Friday - $42.30 per hour plus super

Saturday - $50.51 per hour plus super

Sunday - $64.94 per hour plus super

Public Holiday - $79.37 per hour plus super
