Student Accommodation | Overnight Shifts | Purpose-Driven Support Role

We are currently recruiting Resident Support Officers to work overnight across multiple student accommodation residences throughout Sydney and Parramatta operated by Campus Living Villages.

This is a modern, people-first safety role that focuses on wellbeing, respect, and community support — not enforcement. You’ll play a key role in creating safe, welcoming residential environments where students feel supported after hours.

About the Role

As a Resident Support Officer, you’ll be a calm, approachable, and trusted presence across our student residences overnight. You’ll support student wellbeing, respond to concerns professionally, and contribute to a positive and respectful residential culture.

This role is ideal for:

• Security Officers seeking a more people-focused environment
• Professionals from community services, education, health, youth work, hospitality, or customer service backgrounds who hold a valid NSW Security Licence

Locations: Multiple sites across Sydney & Parramatta
Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time & Casual opportunities
Shifts timings: Predominantly Evening & Overnight (with 1 site offering day shifts only)

With higher casual rates.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing after-hours support to students in residence
• Responding to wellbeing concerns with empathy and professionalism
• Conducting visible, non-enforcement-focused walkthroughs
• Assisting with lockouts, enquiries, and amenity access
• Coordinating with emergency services and on-call teams when required
• Completing incident reports and system updates
• Supporting a respectful, inclusive residential culture
• Liaising with university and Residential Life teams

Who We’re Looking For

1. Experienced Security Officers

Looking to move into a more community-focused, student-facing role.

2. People-Focused Professionals

From community services, allied health, education, youth work, student support, multicultural services, hospitality, or customer service — with a current NSW Security Licence.

Essential Requirements

• Current & Valid NSW Security Licence (mandatory)
• Availability for overnight shifts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence with reporting and basic IT systems
• Calm, professional, approachable manner

Desirable (or Willing to Obtain)

• First Aid & CPR
• RSA
• Working With Children Check (NSW)
