We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Financial Accountant to join our tight-knit finance team in a fast-paced and growing business. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role offers genuine exposure across the full finance function and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the organisation’s financial performance.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the business, while also supporting the CFO with financial reporting, compliance, and analysis to drive growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the CFO with budgets, forecasts, performance measurement and reporting.

• Weekly and monthly invoicing.

• Customer management including system setup and debt collection.

• Maintenance and reconciliation of bank accounts.

• Processing fortnightly/monthly payroll, ensuring PAYG and superannuation compliance.

• Statutory compliance including payroll tax, quarterly BAS and annual TPAR.

• Assist with regulatory reporting to external bodies (ATO, ASIC, financial institutions).

• Month-end reporting including sales accruals, payroll data and balance sheet reconciliations.

• Weekly customer profitability reporting.

• Ensure accurate and timely entry of all financial data.

• Ad-hoc finance support as required.

Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years’ experience in a Financial Accounting role (similar industry highly regarded).

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.

• CA or CPA qualified (essential).

• Strong understanding of internal controls and financial operations.

• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.

• High level of commercial acumen.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to manage change and meet tight deadlines.

• Team-centric, achievement-oriented and committed to ongoing development.

• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
