We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Financial Accountant to join our tight-knit finance team in a fast-paced and growing business. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role offers genuine exposure across the full finance function and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the organisation’s financial performance.

About the Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the business, while also supporting the CFO with financial reporting, compliance, and analysis to drive growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the CFO with budgets, forecasts, performance measurement and reporting.
Weekly and monthly invoicing.
Customer management including system setup and debt collection.
Maintenance and reconciliation of bank accounts.
Processing fortnightly/monthly payroll, ensuring PAYG and superannuation compliance.
Statutory compliance including payroll tax, quarterly BAS and annual TPAR.
Assist with regulatory reporting to external bodies (ATO, ASIC, financial institutions).
Month-end reporting including sales accruals, payroll data and balance sheet reconciliations.
Weekly customer profitability reporting.
Ensure accurate and timely entry of all financial data.
Ad-hoc finance support as required.

Skills & Experience
3–5 years’ experience in a Financial Accounting role (similar industry highly regarded).
Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance.
CA or CPA qualified (essential).
Strong understanding of internal controls and financial operations.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
High level of commercial acumen.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to manage change and meet tight deadlines.
Team-centric, achievement-oriented and committed to ongoing development.
Ability to work autonomously while maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
